Amazon

Amazon DSP, explained plainly, with the access rules stated up front

Amazon's demand-side platform buys display and video ads beyond search. Buying runs through Amazon's own DSP and its own access rules. This page says what we help with, and what Amazon decides.

What is included

Where we help with Amazon DSP

  • Is DSP the right next step?

A plain read of whether your product, budget and listing are ready for display and video, or whether search ads should come first.

  • Audience planning on paper

Which audiences make sense for your product, written down before anyone buys anything.

  • Creative for display and video

Static display creative built to the specs Amazon publishes. Video planning and short product videos from your photographs.

  • Reading the reports

DSP reports read alongside your search-ad and sales reports, so the whole picture is in one note.

  • A written test plan

What to test, how long to leave it, and what would make us stop, agreed before spend begins.

  • Hand-off to the right route

If DSP is bought through Amazon directly or through a provider with access, we say so and work around that.

What you provide

What you provide and what stays yours

You provide

  • Your advertising-console details and brand registration status.
  • A monthly budget that you pay for directly, and a clear goal for the test.
  • Product photographs and any approved brand assets.

Stays yours

  • The ad account and every report.
  • Your card and billing. Ad spend never passes through us.
  • Your audiences and creative files.

How it runs

How the work runs, step by step

  1. Read your position

Listing quality, search-ad data and brand status, to see if display and video are a sensible next step.

  2. Confirm the access route

How DSP can be bought for your account under Amazon's own rules, and who can do the buying.

  3. Plan and build creative

Audience notes, test plan and creative built to spec.

  4. Read and report

Reports read next to your other numbers, with a written note on what we saw and what changes next.

Why choose us

What stays the same on every job

  • Your account, your card, your data

Everything runs inside your own Seller Central, ad accounts and domain. Nothing is routed through us, and you can see every change.

  • We say what we cannot promise

No sales figure, no rank, no return on ad spend is promised. Each service page lists what we do not promise.

  • Tools we built for our own work

The margin sheet, the image check and the A+ builder are free to use. They came out of our own work, not a lead trap.

  • A fixed quote, in writing

One working day after a short brief you get the deliverable, the price and the date. That is the price.

Not sure DSP is the right next step?

Tell us what you sell and what you run today. We reply with a plain read and a fixed quote in writing.

Straight talk

What we do not promise

  • We do not claim DSP buying access of our own. DSP buying runs through Amazon's own DSP and its own access rules, and we do not claim access we have not shown.
  • We do not promise reach, return or sales. Audience, creative and budget all affect what display returns.
  • We do not run any spend through our card.

In depth

What Amazon DSP is, and where it fits

What a DSP is

A demand-side platform lets an advertiser buy ad placements programmatically. Amazon DSP is Amazon's own version, which its page now places inside Amazon Ads Agent. Amazon says it buys display, video, audio and streaming TV ads across Amazon properties and third-party publishers (source: advertising.amazon.com/solutions/products/amazon-dsp, read 8 Oct 2026). It is different from Sponsored Products, which appear when someone searches. DSP is for reach and re-engagement, and it is used by brands with a clear question that search alone cannot answer.

Who can buy it, at what minimum and through which route is decided by Amazon, and the rules have changed over time. We do not state them here as fact. We read Amazon's current pages at the start of any project and put what we read, with its date, in the written plan.

What we do, and the honest limit

We are strongest in the work around the buy. We help decide whether it is the right step, plan the audiences, build the creative to the published specs, and read the reports next to your search-ad and sales numbers. DSP buying itself runs through Amazon's DSP and its access rules. If your account can buy directly, you buy and we plan and read. If access needs a provider, we say so, and we do not claim access we have not shown you.

This is a deliberately narrow claim. Many pages promise to run DSP for every brand. We would rather tell you what we do and what Amazon decides, and let you judge.

Before you consider it

DSP works on top of a page that converts. If the listing is thin, display traffic only pays for the thinness. So the order is usually: a sound listing, then search ads, then DSP for a defined purpose such as bringing back visitors who did not buy. A Brand Store can give that traffic somewhere better to land.

Creative matters more in display than in search, because the creative does the persuading with no search intent behind it. Our ad creatives and AI product videos are built to the specs of the placement. We write down what we will test, how long we will leave it and what would make us stop, before any money is spent. We do not state a result in advance, because it would be invented.

A final thought on expectations. Display and video are slower to read than search. A shopper may see an ad, leave, and buy days later through another route, so the reports need to be read over a longer window and next to your other data. We set that expectation before the test begins, so no one judges a display test by a single day's numbers and then abandons it or inflates it.

Questions

Common questions

Can you buy DSP for me?

DSP buying runs through Amazon's own DSP and its own access rules. We say plainly which route applies to your account, and we do not claim access we have not shown.

What does DSP cost?

We print no Amazon figure here. We read Amazon's current terms for your account at the start of a project. Our own work is a fixed quote in writing.

Is DSP better than search ads?

They do different jobs. Search ads reach people looking for something. DSP reaches audiences who may not be searching. We usually suggest search first.

Can you make the creative?

Yes. Static display creative and short product videos from your photographs, built to the placement's specs.

Do you promise results?

No. We promise the plan, the creative and the report, and we say in advance what we will not promise.

Ready for a fixed quote?

Send three sentences: what you sell, what is not working, what you want by when. The quote comes in writing within one working day, and it names the deliverable, the price and the date.
