What we prepare

What we prepare for BigBasket

  • A pack-size ladder

Each product with the sizes you sell, their printed MRP and net quantity, set out so someone can see the whole family on one line.

  • Naming that sorts well

Brand, product, variant and size always in the same order, which is how a shopper scans an aisle of results.

  • Label-faithful product data

Ingredients, nutrition panel where the product has one, storage line and usage line, typed from the pack.

  • Shelf-ready photographs

Front of pack and back panel, clear at small size, on a plain ground.

  • Licences and test reports in a folder

FSSAI licence for food, and any other papers your adviser names, each dated and cross-referenced to the product it covers.

You provide

  • The pack as sold, in every size you want to offer.
  • Licences, registrations and reports you hold.
  • Your supply capacity and the way you ship.

BigBasket decides

  • Whether BigBasket lists the brand and under what terms.
  • Which products and sizes it takes.
  • Its own commercial terms.

Documents

Documents BigBasket asks for

We print no document list and no count for BigBasket. We go through its sign-up form with you when you apply, so the papers are ready.

How it works

Who does what for a BigBasket start

  1. You

List every pack size you sell

A single list with the exact printed MRP and net quantity of each size.

  2. Us

Build the ladder and the product data

Names that sort, data from the label, photographs checked.

  3. You

    Open partner.bigbasket.com

It forwards to a portal titled BB Sambandh. You enter your details there; we go through its form with you.

  4. BigBasket decides

    Brand and product acceptance

BigBasket decides whether to list the brand and which products. We do not predict it.

  5. Us

Match the sheets to the portal

When the portal shows what it needs, we compare each field to your sheets and note the gaps.

Fees

We print no BigBasket margin, minimum or fee figure; BigBasket sets its own terms.

Why choose us

What stays the same on every job

  • Grocery detail done properly

Pack sizes, printed prices and label text are where grocery listings go wrong, so that is where we spend our checks.

  • Names that scan

A fixed naming order makes a family of packs easy to read.

  • Terms are BigBasket's

BigBasket sets its own commercial terms, so none are printed here.

In depth

Preparing a daily-needs brand for BigBasket

What the portal is

BigBasket's partner address, partner.bigbasket.com, forwards to a portal titled "BB Sambandh". Approval is by BigBasket and the documents are listed in its own form.

A grocery marketplace is a catalogue of repeatable items, so the preparation is mostly about getting repeatable data right, again and again, across a family of packs.

Pack-size ladders and printed prices

A daily-needs brand often sells the same product in several sizes. A shopper compares them by price per unit in their head, so the sizes need to be consistent in naming and in data. We build a ladder for each product: the sizes, the printed MRP and net quantity of each, and the barcode. The ladder shows at a glance whether a size is missing, or two sizes carry the same name.

The printed MRP is the one number that must match the pack exactly. We copy it from the pack and not from a price list, because a price list can be a version behind the label. If your pack and your list disagree, we flag it before it reaches a listing.

Papers, and the work after listing

For food and many daily-needs items, a licence or registration number is part of the label. The only public rule we can quote comes from FSSAI, not BigBasket: platforms listing food businesses must list only those with a valid licence or registration, and food businesses declare the 14-digit number on invoices and bills. Our quick-commerce management page gives the source and the date of that document.

If BigBasket lists a brand, the daily work is catalogue accuracy, stock that matches what is listed and prices that agree across channels; see catalogue management and inventory management. We promise the sheets, the checks and the written follow-up. We do not promise a listing, a date, a margin or sales.
