Preparing a brand for Blinkit: pack data, photographs and papers
Approval is by Blinkit. It runs a public seller registration page, Blinkit Seller Hub (Source: seller.blinkit.com, read 9 Oct 2026). This page describes what a brand can prepare for a dark-store shelf, and says plainly that Blinkit decides.

What we prepare
What we prepare for Blinkit
A pack sheet per product
Net quantity, pack size, MRP as printed, barcode, and shelf information where the product has it, from the pack in your hand.
Pack photographs for a small screen
Front of pack, legible at thumbnail size, on a plain ground. A quick-commerce shopper sees a tile, not a gallery.
A short, clean range
A one-page range sheet of the products you would offer first, with the sizes you would stock, so a conversation starts from a clear list.
Licence and label papers
For food, the FSSAI licence or registration number and where it is printed. For other categories, the papers your adviser says apply.
A supply-readiness note
A plain statement of how much you can supply and how you ship, for you to adjust. We do not invent supply terms.
You provide
- The packs as sold, with their printed MRP and barcode.
- Your licences and registrations, and the way you can ship.
- A contact at Blinkit if you already have one. We do not source introductions.
Blinkit decides
- Whether Blinkit lists the brand at all, and how it takes supply.
- Every commercial term.
- The cities and stores a product reaches.

In depth
Getting ready for a Blinkit conversation
Where a brand starts
Approval is by Blinkit. Blinkit runs a public seller registration page, Blinkit Seller Hub (Source: seller.blinkit.com, read 9 Oct 2026), so the first step is to register there or ask Blinkit's seller support how a brand should apply.
We do not state Blinkit's terms: they are Blinkit's to set. What we can do is the preparation that holds whichever route Blinkit offers.
What a dark-store shelf asks of a pack
A dark store is a small local warehouse that fills orders for nearby homes. Its shelf is limited, and the customer meets the product as a tile on a phone. That sets a few practical demands on a brand: a front-of-pack image that reads at thumbnail size, a pack size that fits a household order, and printed information that matches the listing.
We prepare for those demands whichever route Blinkit offers. The pack sheet records the printed MRP, net quantity and barcode as they appear on the pack. The photograph is checked on a small screen before it is accepted. The range sheet keeps the first offer short, because a short, clear list is easier to discuss than a long one.
Papers, and what comes after
For food, the one public rule we can quote comes from the food regulator, FSSAI, not from Blinkit. Its licensing FAQ says a platform listing food businesses must list only those with a valid licence or registration, and that food businesses declare the 14-digit number on invoices and bills. We set that out on our quick-commerce management page with its source and date.
If Blinkit takes on a brand, the work changes: stock to keep in step with orders, catalogue accuracy and price consistency with your other channels. Our inventory management and pricing management pages describe those jobs. We never promise a listing, a start date, a margin or a sales result.
