Zaiv Lens · Privacy

What the Zaiv Lens extension reads, what it keeps, and what leaves your computer.

The privacy policy for Zaiv Lens, the Chrome extension for amazon.in sellers, from version 1.3.0 to the current version, including the Search Expander, and for the Zaiv Lens Cloud account it can send to.

Zaiv Lens is made by Anayza Enterprises (trading as Zaiv Digital), a GST-registered proprietorship in Kalkaji, New Delhi. "We" below means that business. This page describes the extension's own code. The zaivdigital.com website, including this page, has its own policy at /privacy/.

Effective 29 October 2026.

1. The short version

On an amazon.in search-result or product page, Zaiv Lens adds one small ZAIV LENS tab and does nothing else until you click it. When you click the tab, it reads the page you have open, inside your own browser, to draw its panel. The Scan tab never opens, loads or requests any other amazon.in page; the other tabs that can are described in section 13. Nothing you read from a page leaves your computer until you press Send, and then it goes only to your own Zaiv Lens Cloud account. The other things that leave your computer are the search-volume lookups described in section 13: the words you type in the amazon.in search box (the Search Expander, which you can switch off), the terms the Keywords tab lists, and a product's public listing text, sent to our server to get search-volume numbers. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it for anything except running Zaiv Lens for you.

2. Which pages it reads

The extension runs on two kinds of amazon.in page. On them it adds a ZAIV LENS tab at the side of the page, and that tab is all it adds. It reads nothing from the page and draws nothing else until you click the tab yourself; a click made by a script on the page does not open it. After your click it reads only the page that is already open in your tab:

  • Search resultsamazon.in/s… — the page you get when you search on amazon.in
  • Product pagesamazon.in/dp/…, amazon.in/<product name>/dp/… and amazon.in/gp/product/…

It loads only on amazon.in addresses that begin with /s (search results, and a few other pages such as seller-profile and store pages) and on product pages, and on no other amazon.in page, apart from the Search Expander card described in section 13. On a page that is not a search or product page the tab appears but there is nothing to read, and nothing is read until you click. It never runs on Seller Central, the advertising console, sign-in pages, checkout, the cart, payment pages, your account pages or your orders. It never signs in to Amazon, never asks for an Amazon password, and reads no cookies.

The Scan tab requests no Amazon pages (the other tabs are described in section 13). It does not open pages in the background, follow links, load more results or refresh anything on a timer. Once you have opened the panel, the only thing it loads from Amazon is each product's thumbnail in the table, from Amazon's image server, using the same image link the search page already shows, which your browser usually holds already. If Amazon shows a security check instead of the page, the panel says nothing was read. Because the ZAIV LENS tab and the panel are drawn on the amazon.in page itself, amazon.in's own scripts can see that they are there, and so can tell that the extension is installed; they cannot see your Zaiv Lens Cloud account or your email address.

3. What it reads from the page

Only after you click the ZAIV LENS tab, and only from the page in that tab:

  • On a search-result pageThe search term; whether the page is the Amazon Business view, which shows whether you are browsing with an Amazon Business account; and how many results are marked Sponsored. Then, for each result that is not Sponsored: its position on the page, ASIN, title, price, MRP and discount, star rating, review count, Amazon's own "bought in past month" badge as printed, whether it is marked Prime, and its image link. Sponsored results are counted, not read.
  • On a product pageThat product's ASIN, and the ASIN the page itself names as canonical; title, brand, price and MRP; star rating, review count and the full star-rating breakdown (the share at each level from one to five stars); Amazon's "bought in past month" badge as printed; up to four Best Sellers Ranks shown, each with its category; weight and dimensions where printed; date first available; stock status as printed, and the "only N left in stock" count where Amazon prints one; whether it is fulfilled by Amazon; the seller name shown on the page and the number of other sellers; the variation list: how many variations there are, their types (such as size or colour) and, where the page lists them, the parent ASIN and each variation's ASIN; manufacturer, packer, country of origin and material as printed; the bullet points and the product description; the number of images and their image links; whether the page has A+ content or a video; the return, replacement or non-returnable policy as printed, and whether Amazon marks the item as frequently returned; Amazon's "Customers say" review summary, meaning the topics it lists and how many reviews mention each; for up to ten of the reviews shown on the page, Amazon's own reference for the review, its date and its star rating (not the review text and not the reviewer's name); and, where Amazon prints its brand box, the brand's recent-orders figure, its positive-rating percentage and the number of customers that is based on, and its years on Amazon.

These are details Amazon prints publicly on the page. From them the extension works out a demand figure from Amazon's badge, printed as a plain number, with its source and the badge range shown when you hover, and an Easy Ship fee and GST at each product's price. A listing with no badge shows ‘under 50’; where the page prints no badge at all, the panel shows a dash, and it never fills the gap with a figure of its own. That arithmetic happens inside your browser; nothing is sent anywhere to do it.

4. What it keeps in your browser

  • Your Zaiv Lens Cloud sign-inAfter you press Connect on app.zaivdigital.com, the extension keeps your session token and the email address you are connected as in its own private storage (chrome.storage.local). They are used only to send your captures to your account. The email is shown only inside the extension's own Send box in the panel, as "connected as", and is never handed to the amazon.in page or its scripts. To delete both, remove the extension at chrome://extensions (Remove). The extension also deletes them itself if Zaiv Lens Cloud refuses to renew or accept the session, for example after your account is deleted.
  • A random install identifierMade on your computer when the extension is installed and kept in the extension's own storage (chrome.storage.local). It is sent with each search-volume lookup (section 13) so that the free plan's daily limit can be counted. It is not linked to your name, your email address or your Amazon account. Removing the extension deletes it.
  • Panel preferencesWhether the panel is set to wide, which table columns you have hidden, and whether the product-page strip is shown. These sit in your browser's local storage for amazon.in, on your own computer, so the panel remembers them next time. They never leave your computer. Clearing amazon.in's site data in Chrome's settings removes them.
  • The page you are readingHeld in the tab's memory while the tab is open, so the table and the CSV export can be built. Closing the tab clears it.

CSV export builds the file inside your browser and saves it to your computer. Nothing is uploaded to make it.

5. What leaves your computer, and when

Apart from the thumbnails described in section 2 and the Search Expander described in section 13, every request the extension makes goes to Zaiv Lens Cloud. None goes to anyone else.

  • When you press SendSend is a button the extension draws itself, inside the Zaiv Lens panel, and it acts only on your own click; a script on the amazon.in page cannot press it for you. When you press it, the extension reads the tab you are on and sends that one capture to your own Zaiv Lens Cloud workspace, signed with your own session token. A capture is what section 3 lists for that page, plus values worked out from it (on a product page: volumetric weight, chargeable weight, the ratio between them, and the combined share of one- and two-star ratings; on a search page: the summary below), the time it was read, a tool identifier with a format version number, and its calculation settings. For a search page the summary holds counts, medians, averages, quartiles, highest and lowest prices, and percentages (such as the average discount and the top seller's share of the page's badge units), the brand names that appear most often on the page, taken from the first word of each title, and a revenue figure for the page: each product's "bought in past month" badge figure multiplied by its price, added up. That figure comes from Amazon's badge, not from a model, and is a floor, not a sales figure.
  • Keeping you signed inWhen you press Send and your session token is close to expiry, the extension first renews it with Zaiv Lens Cloud's sign-in service. That request carries the token, not anything about the pages you read.

Beside the button, the panel says: "Send uploads this page's figures to your own Zaiv Lens Cloud account. Nothing is sent until you press Send."

There is no automatic upload of what you read: nothing is sent when a page loads, when you open the panel, or on a timer, and there is no daily background capture. If you never press Send, nothing you read from a page leaves your computer. The search-volume lookups (section 13) are separate: they send only the words you type in the search box, the terms the Keywords tab lists, and a product's public listing text, and the Search Expander sends nothing while it is switched off.

6. Your Zaiv Lens Cloud account

  • AccountYour email address, an optional display name, your plan, and when you signed up. You sign in at app.zaivdigital.com with a link or a six-digit code emailed to you. There is no password.
  • Accounts are by invitationFor now, Zaiv Lens Cloud accounts are opened by invitation: the sign-in page sends a link or code only to an address we have already opened an account for. To ask for one, write to support@zaivdigital.com. Without an account, the panel, the calculator and CSV export still work, and Send stays switched off.
  • What else it keepsThe list of ASINs and search terms your captures have touched, daily usage counters used to enforce plan limits and stop abuse, and ordinary access logs (IP address, time and browser) kept by our web host and our database provider.
  • Where it is storedZaiv Lens Cloud runs on Supabase, our cloud database provider, in its ap-northeast-2 region (Seoul, South Korea), so captures you send are stored outside India. The app's pages are served by Hostinger, and load their typeface from Google Fonts, which sees your IP address and browser details. If you buy Pro, Razorpay takes the payment on its own pages and we receive the payment status and an order reference, never your card or UPI details. We keep your email address against your account to switch Pro on for the period you paid for.
  • Who can read itOnly the members of your workspace. The database itself enforces this with row-level access rules. We have administrator access to run the service, take backups and fix an account when its owner asks; we do not read your captures for any other purpose. One housekeeping job runs every night across all workspaces: it finishes incomplete captures, trims history to your plan's window, rolls up the usage counters and removes orphaned files. It reads the contents of your captures for nothing else.

The full description of the cloud side, including every table it keeps, is in the Zaiv Lens app's privacy policy at app.zaivdigital.com/privacy.html.

7. The kinds of data, in the Chrome Web Store's terms

  • Personally identifiable informationThe email address of your Zaiv Lens Cloud account. On a product page, the seller name Amazon shows, which can be a person's name.
  • Authentication informationYour Zaiv Lens Cloud session token.
  • User activityOnly while the Search Expander is on: the words you type in the amazon.in search box and the suggestion terms Amazon returns for them, and the terms the Keywords tab lists, with a random install identifier made on your computer (section 13).
  • Web historyIn each capture you send: the search term or the product's ASIN, and the time the page was read.
  • Website contentThe figures section 3 lists, read from the page you have open.

Each is used only as this page describes. From the extension, none of it leaves your computer except the session renewal that happens when you press Send, the captures you choose to send, and the search-volume lookups (section 13).

8. How long it is kept, and deletion

  • Captures you sendKept, with the tables extracted from them, for as long as your account exists.
  • Tracker and alert tables built from your capturesTrimmed every night to your plan's retention window, which is 30 days on the free plan and 730 days on Pro.
  • Deleting your accountEmail support@zaivdigital.com from your sign-in address. We confirm by reply and complete the deletion within 30 days. It deletes your workspace and every capture and table under it; raw capture files are removed by the nightly clean-up.
  • Search Expander lookupsThe words you type, the Keywords tab terms and the listing text are answered and not saved by the lookup. It keeps usage counters only, deleted after about three days, as section 13 explains.
  • BackupsBackups taken by the database provider expire on the provider's own schedule and are read only to restore the service.
  • What is in your browserRemove the extension at chrome://extensions (Remove) to delete the sign-in. Clear amazon.in's site data to delete the panel preferences. Removing the extension does not delete your Zaiv Lens Cloud account or your captures; for that, email support@zaivdigital.com from your sign-in address, as above.

9. What we never do

The use of information received by this extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • Sell or transferWe do not sell your data, and we do not transfer it to anyone, including advertising platforms and data brokers.
  • AdvertisingWe do not use your data for advertising, and the extension shows no ads.
  • Credit and lendingWe do not use your data, or let anyone use it, to decide creditworthiness or for lending.
  • Other purposesWe use your account details to sign you in, your captures to show them back to you, and the usage counters to enforce plan limits and stop abuse; and all of it to keep the service running and safe from misuse. Nothing else. No person reads your captures unless you ask us to (for example, to fix your account), it is needed to stop misuse, or the law requires it.
  • Other usersWe never use one user's captures to build or adjust another user's numbers.
  • Code and trackingThe extension contains no analytics, no advertising code and no tracking, and runs no code from outside its own package.
  • Legal requestsWe disclose data only if a lawful order from an Indian court or authority requires it, and we tell you unless the order forbids it.

The zaivdigital.com website, including this page, uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking, as its own privacy policy explains. The extension uses neither.

10. Permissions, and why each is needed

  • storageTo keep your Zaiv Lens Cloud session (its tokens and expiry) and the email address you are connected as, plus the public address and publishable key of Zaiv Lens Cloud, the random install identifier, and the switch for the Search Expander. Nothing else is stored there.
  • Access to hfzhntkwndduxvktcplj.supabase.coTo send a capture to your Zaiv Lens Cloud account when you press Send, to keep you signed in, and, while the Search Expander is on, to look up search volumes (section 13). No other server is contacted, apart from the product thumbnails described in section 2 and amazon.in's own suggestion service described in section 13.
  • Runs on amazon.in search-result and product pagesTo add the ZAIV LENS tab and, after you click it, read the page in front of you and show the Zaiv Lens panel on it. It loads on amazon.in addresses that begin with /s (search results, and a few other pages such as seller-profile and store pages) and on product pages, and on no other amazon.in page.
  • Runs on other amazon.in pages (Search Expander)To draw the Search Expander card under the amazon.in search box, which is on amazon.in pages other than search results and product pages too (for example the home page). It does not run on Seller Central, the advertising console, sign-in pages, checkout, the cart, your account pages or your orders.
  • Runs on app.zaivdigital.comFor the one-time Connect step, where the Zaiv Lens app hands your session token to the extension after you click Connect.

It asks for nothing else: no access to your tabs, your browsing history, your cookies or any other website.

11. Your rights and complaints

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, and you can nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to. You can withdraw at any time: remove the extension at chrome://extensions, and ask us by email to delete your account and captures. Nothing keeps running on your behalf.

Write to support@zaivdigital.com, from your sign-in address if the request is about your account. We acknowledge within 7 days and resolve within 30 days.

Grievance Officer, Zaiv Digital: support@zaivdigital.com, with the same timings. If you are not satisfied with how a request was handled, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

If you write to support, we receive your email address and what you write, and use them only to answer you.

12. Amazon, children and changes

Zaiv Lens is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Amazon. Amazon and amazon.in are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

Zaiv Lens is a business tool for Amazon sellers. It is not directed at anyone under 18.

If what the extension reads, keeps or sends changes, we will update this page and its effective date before that version is published, and email the address on your Zaiv Lens Cloud account.

13. Search volume, and the tabs that look things up

Three parts of the full extension send text to Zaiv Lens Cloud so that it can look up monthly search volumes: the Search Expander, the Keywords tab, and the keyword coverage on a product page. Each is described below, followed by what the lookup keeps. Everything else in this section applies to all three.

  • The Search ExpanderA card that opens under amazon.in's search box as you type and shows a monthly search volume beside each of Amazon's own suggestions. It is on when you install, and it has a switch in its header; when it is switched off, nothing about it is sent. About a third of a second after your last key, once there are at least two characters (and at most 80), the extension asks amazon.in's own suggestion service for its suggestions for the text, and again for the text followed by a space. That is the same address amazon.in's own search box calls. The request is made by the extension's background worker, your browser attaches your usual amazon.in cookies to it as it does for the site's own search box, Zaiv Lens does not read those cookies, and we never receive them. The number of such requests on one page is capped. We then receive the text you typed and the suggestion terms Amazon returned.
  • The Keywords tabWhen you press Run, the tab asks Amazon's suggestion service for suggestions on the seed word you give it, in a sweep of about 35 requests, from your own browser. The terms it lists are then sent to Zaiv Lens Cloud, up to 40 at a time, to fill the Volume column.
  • Keyword coverage on a product pageWhen the panel has drawn a product page, the extension sends that product's title and brand and the first 8,000 characters of its bullet points and description to Zaiv Lens Cloud, to find the search terms that fit the product and show which of their words the listing is missing. This text is public listing text that Amazon prints on the page; it is not your account data. It is sent without a separate button, each time the panel draws a product page.
  • What else arrives with a lookupA random install identifier, made on your computer when the extension is installed and kept in the extension's own storage (it is not linked to your name, your email address or your Amazon account); if you are signed in to Zaiv Lens Cloud with Pro, your account identifier from your session token; and, as with any request over the internet, your network address.
  • WhyTo return the search-volume numbers and the matching terms, and to apply the daily limit on the free plan and the limits that stop abuse.
  • Where it goesTo Zaiv Lens Cloud's lookup function, which runs on Supabase in its ap-northeast-2 region (Seoul, South Korea), so this text is processed outside India. It is the same project as section 6.
  • What is keptThe lookup answers and does not save the words you typed, the terms from the Keywords tab or the listing text. It keeps usage counters only: how many units of lookup were used per day against your random install identifier (against your account if you are signed in with Pro), and per minute and per day against your network address. Each is stored as a one-way scrambled value, not the identifier or address itself. They exist to enforce the daily limit and stop abuse. Counters more than three days old are deleted by the lookup itself, as part of normal requests, so a counter can sit a little longer than three days. If a database call fails the function writes the error message to its log, never the words. The ordinary access logs of our database provider, described in section 6, apply to these requests as to every other. Nothing from these lookups is added to your Zaiv Lens Cloud captures, history or trackers.
  • The daily limitThe free plan has a daily limit on lookups, counted in terms looked up. When you reach it the card says so, and it resets at midnight India time. Pro lifts the daily limit, as the Zaiv Lens page explains.
  • Where the numbers come fromA volume marked as Amazon's own count is reproduced as Amazon published it. Every other figure is our estimate, worked out by us from Amazon's published search-term lists, and is provided for research. We give no accuracy figure, and no figure promises sales, ranking, profit or any result. The decisions are yours.
  • ExportThe Search Expander card can save what it shows (the term, which column it came from, and the volume) as a CSV file. The file is built inside your browser and saved to your computer; nothing is uploaded to make it.
  • Switching off, and deletionSwitch the Search Expander off with the switch in its header, or remove the extension at chrome://extensions, which deletes the random install identifier from your browser. The usage counters are not tied to your name or email address and are removed on the schedule above; for anything tied to your account, write to support@zaivdigital.com as in section 8.

The other tabs of the full extension (Rank, Track, Review Insights and History, and the reverse-search tools in the Keywords tab) can load further amazon.in pages, such as search results, product pages and best-seller lists, in your own browser when you use them, using your normal amazon.in session. Those requests go to amazon.in only, and what they read stays in your browser unless you press Send.
